Oppure Oil now offers free, professional oil tank inspection services. We recommend that you contact us to request a free tank inspection if you have not had your tank inspected recently, your tank is old, or you are concerned that your tank may be showing signs of corrosion. We’ve added this optional, mutually beneficial service to ensure it is safe for us to deliver to your tank.

Sometimes corrosion is not obvious to the naked eye, since oil tanks rust from the inside out. We inspect your oil tank, legs, fill and vent pipes, filter, and oil line for rust, cracks, and leaks. The vent pipe is checked to ensure that it is free of obstruction and that we can hear the vent whistle designed to prevent overfills. If our drivers do not hear the whistle, they cannot deliver oil to your tank.

The entire inspection process takes about one-half hour. During the inspection, we take a few photos and complete an inspection form for your records. Once the inspection is complete, the technician will discuss the result with you. If any repairs are recommended, he will prepare a quote and schedule the repair. Our technician has over 30 years of experience repairing and replacing tanks.

Oil Tank Replacement

If tank replacement is warranted or requested, we will prepare an estimate for your study and consideration. When the existing tank is one-eighth full, we can schedule to install the replacement. In the case that the tank is leaking, and we cannot wait until it is low, we will bring a portable tank to hold your oil until your new tank is installed, at which time we will pump your oil into it.

Oppure Oil sells and installs both Roth and Granby oil tanks. We handle all the details including all the paperwork, the permitting process, working with your local fire inspector, and documenting the process for your insurance company.

Burner Service

Oppure Oil does not offer burner service or replacement. However, we recommend that you have your burner serviced by a professional annually before the heating season begins. Please refer to our list of local service providers.
